Belgian Pearl Sugar Liege Waffles¶

Ingredients¶
- 7 g rapid-rise yeast
0.75 cup warm milk
440 g all-purpose flour
50 g brown sugar
8 g salt
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
226 g butter
some cinnamon
226 g Lars Own Belgian Pearl Sugar
Cookware¶
1 small bowl
1 large mixing bowl
- 1 greased cookie sheet
- 1 greased waffle iron
Instructions¶
Step 1¶
Dissolve rapid-rise yeast (1 packet) in warm milk (100°F) in a small bowl and set aside until bubbly.
Step 2¶
Combine the yeast mixture, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, salt, large eggs, vanilla extract, and softened butter (optionally adding cinnamon) in a large mixing bowl; mix until well blended and a soft dough forms.
Step 3¶
Cover and let rise until doubled in size, 30 to 60 minutes.
Step 4¶
Stir in Lars Own Belgian Pearl Sugar until evenly distributed.
Step 5¶
Divide dough into 12 equal portions (3.5 ounces each); form into patties and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Step 6¶
Cover and allow to rise 15 minutes.
Step 7¶
Bake in a preheated and greased waffle iron for 2 to 3 minutes or until deep golden brown.
