Butterscotch Squares¶

Ingredients¶
some nonstick cooking spray
2 cups brown sugar
0.75 cup heavy whipping cream
6 tbsp unsalted butter
0.5 tsp vanilla
0.25 tsp salt
1 cup powdered sugar
16 oz chocolate melts
Cookware¶
9x9" pan
foil
saucepan
wax paper
Instructions¶
Step 1¶
Line a 9x9" pan with
foil and spray with
nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2¶
Combine brown sugar,
heavy whipping cream, and
unsalted butter in a
saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a rolling
boil.
Step 3¶
Reduce heat to low and simmer until the mixture reaches 236ºF (7.5 minutes).
Step 4¶
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla,
salt, and
powdered sugar.
Step 5¶
Pour into the prepared pan and let set at room temperature for 4 hours.
Step 6¶
Cut into 64 small squares. Melt chocolate melts. Dip each square into melted chocolate. Place on
wax paper and chill
until set.
