Ingredients
- 300 g confectioners' sugar
- 300 g water
- some mint
- 500 g strawberries
- 0.5 lime juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
Cookware
- 1 sauce pan
- 1 food processor
Instructions
Step 1
Make a simple syrup by combining equal amounts of confectioners' sugar and water in sauce pan. Bring the mixture to a boil until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 2
Pour mixture into a container with a few leaves of mint and let cool.
Step 3
Add strawberries to a blender with a lime juice of half a lime and blend.
Step 4
Pour the puree through a strainer to remove the pulp.
Step 5
Add vanilla to the puree.
Step 6
Remove the mint leaves from simple syrup.
Step 7
Add the simple syrup to the puree a little at a time.
Step 8
Add a clean uncooked egg to the mixture and keep adding the simple syrup until the egg floats and the exposed part of the egg is about the size of a quarter.
Step 9
Make the sorbet the same way as making ice cream using a food processor.
