Ingredients¶
Oreo Pie Crust¶
24 Oreo cookies
5 Tbsp (71 g) butter, melted
Chocolate Pudding Filling¶
0.33 cup (66 g) granulated sugar
2.5 cups (568 g) whole milk
6 large egg yolks
2 Tbsp cornstarch
6 Tbsp (85 g) salted butter, chopped
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
Whipped Topping¶
1 cup (227 g) heavy whipping cream
2 Tbsp (25 g) sugar
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
Cookware¶
- 1 9-inch pie dish
- 1 saucepan
Instructions¶
Step 1¶
Pulse Oreo cookies into crumbs. Mix with melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie dish. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool.
Step 2¶
Whisk granulated sugar and whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat until simmering.
Step 3¶
Whisk large egg yolks and cornstarch, then slowly whisk in a few spoonfuls of the hot milk mixture before returning the entire egg mixture to the pan.
Step 4¶
Whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and reaches a gentle boil, then remove from heat and stir in salted butter, semi-sweet chocolate, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 5¶
Pour into the crust, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.
Step 6¶
Beat heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract to soft peaks. Spread over the set pie and garnish with chocolate curls.
