Filling

  • ๐ŸŽ 5 cups apples
  • ๐Ÿฎ 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • ๐ŸŽƒ 0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ๐Ÿฌ 8 tsp sugar
  • ๐Ÿ 8 tsp brown sugar
  • ๐Ÿงˆ 2 Tbsp pumpkin butter
  • ๐Ÿง‚ 0.25 tsp salt
  • ๐ŸŒพ 1.5 Tbsp flour

Crust

  • ๐ŸŒพ 2 cups flour
  • ๐Ÿง‚ 1 tsp salt
  • ๐ŸŽƒ 0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ๐Ÿฎ 0.25 tsp cinnamon
  • ๐Ÿงˆ 38 tsp cold butter
  • ๐Ÿ’ง 6 Tbsp ice water

Crumb Topping

  • ๐Ÿ 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • ๐Ÿงˆ 0.25 cup butter
  • ๐ŸŒพ 0.5 cup flour
  • ๐Ÿซ 0.25 cup crushed granola

๐Ÿณ Cookware

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 pie pan

๐Ÿ“ Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400ยฐF.

Step 2

Prepare filling by peeling and slicing apples. Toss with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin butter, salt, and flour. Set aside.

Step 3

Prepare crust by whisking flour, salt, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon in large bowl.

Step 4

Add cold butter and cut into flour mix until crumbly. Add 1 Tbsp of ice water at a time until loose dough forms.

Step 5

Transfer to floured surface and gently mold together with hands.

Step 6

Divide in two, making one - the bottom crust - slightly larger.

Step 7

Gently roll out larger crust and drape over pie pan.

Step 8

Add apple filling to crust, reserving mot of the excess liquid that's formed.

Step 9

Bake 45 to 50 minutes.

Step 10

Prepare the crumb topping by combining brown sugar, butter, and flour. Stir in crushed granola.

Step 11

Reduce oven temperature to 350ยฐF and bake for 30 minutes.
