Pumpkin Spiced Apple Pie

Ingredients
Filling
5 cups apples
0.5 tsp cinnamon
0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
8 tsp sugar
8 tsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp pumpkin butter
0.25 tsp salt
1.5 Tbsp flour
Crust
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
0.25 tsp cinnamon
38 tsp cold butter
6 Tbsp ice water
Crumb Topping
0.5 cup brown sugar
0.25 cup butter
0.5 cup flour
0.25 cup crushed granola
Cookware
- 1 large bowl
- 1 pie pan
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2
Prepare filling by peeling and slicing apples. Toss with cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin butter, salt, and flour. Set aside.
Step 3
Prepare crust by whisking flour, salt, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon in large bowl.
Step 4
Add cold butter and cut into flour mix until crumbly. Add 1 Tbsp of ice water at a time until loose dough forms.
Step 5
Transfer to floured surface and gently mold together with hands.
Step 6
Divide in two, making one - the bottom crust - slightly larger.
Step 7
Gently roll out larger crust and drape over pie pan.
Step 8
Add apple filling to crust, reserving mot of the excess liquid that's formed.
Step 9
Bake 45 to 50 minutes.
Step 10
Prepare the crumb topping by combining brown sugar, butter, and flour. Stir in crushed granola.
Step 11
Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake for 30 minutes.
