Russian Tea Cakes¶

Ingredients¶
1 cup butter, softened
0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2.25 cups flour
0.25 tsp salt
0.75 cup finely chopped walnuts
Cookware¶
- 1 ungreased cookie sheet
Instructions¶
Step 1¶
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2¶
Mix butter, softened, ½ cup confectioners' sugar, and vanilla.
Step 3¶
Mix in flour, salt, and finely chopped walnuts until dough holds together.
Step 4¶
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 5¶
Bake until set, but not brown; about 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 6¶
Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm, then let cool.
Step 7¶
Roll in confectioners' sugar again.
