Russian Tea Cakes
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2.25 cups flour
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.75 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 ungreased cookie sheet
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Mix butter, softened, 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, and vanilla.
Mix in flour, salt, and finely chopped walnuts until dough holds together.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake until set, but not brown; about 10 to 12 minutes.
Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm, then let cool.
Roll in confectioners' sugar again.
