Mock Soy Sauce¶

Ingredients¶
2 cups (475 ml) vegetable broth or beef broth
2 Tbsp (30 ml) balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp (15 ml) apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp (20 g) dark molasses
1 tsp (6 g) table salt
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch ground ginger

Instructions¶
Step 1¶
Combine the broth, balsamic vinegar, apple cider vinegar, molasses, salt, garlic powder, and ginger in a small saucepan.
Step 2¶
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
Step 3¶
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by half (to about 1 cup).
Step 4¶
Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Step 5¶
Transfer to a glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
