Self-Rising Flour¶

| 1 cup | 5 minutes |
Ingredients¶
1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp (6 g) baking powder
¼ tsp (1.5 g) table salt
Cookware¶
- small bowl
- whisk
- sifter
- airtight container
Instructions¶
Step 1¶
Measure out the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and table salt.
Step 2¶
Whisk the ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined.
Step 3¶
Sift the mixture at least twice to ensure the baking powder and salt are evenly distributed throughout the flour. This is crucial for an even rise in your baked goods.
Step 4¶
Transfer to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
Step 5¶
Note: If a recipe calls for self-rising flour and you use this homemade version, do not add the baking powder or salt already listed in that recipe unless specifically instructed.
