Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
1 28-oz can whole tomatoes with their juice
0.33 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic
6 sprigs basil
6 sprigs parsley
some salt
some pepper
Cookware
- 1 large saucepan
- 1 food mill
Instructions
Step 1
Combine in a large saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat whole tomatoes with their juice olive oil, garlic, basil, and parsley.
Step 2
Simmer, uncovered, crushing the tomatoes with the side of a spoon to break them up, until the sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes. Pass through a food mill, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
