Marinara Sauce

🧂 Ingredients

  • 🍅 1 28-oz can whole tomatoes with their juice
  • 🫒 0.33 cup olive oil
  • 🧄 3 cloves garlic
  • 🌿 6 sprigs basil
  • 🌿 6 sprigs parsley
  • 🧂 some salt
  • 🧂 some pepper

🍳 Cookware

  • 1 large saucepan
  • 1 food mill

📝 Instructions

Step 1

Combine in a large saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat whole tomatoes with their juice olive oil, garlic, basil, and parsley.

Step 2

Simmer, uncovered, crushing the tomatoes with the side of a spoon to break them up, until the sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes. Pass through a food mill, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
