Sautéed Mushrooms

Ingredients
1.25 lbs mushrooms
0.25 cup water
0.5 tsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
some salt
some pepper
some vegetable broth (optional)

- 1 skillet
Instructions
Step 1
In a cold skillet, add any variety of mushrooms and a 1/4 cup of water. Cook on high until the pan is dry and the mushrooms have collapsed, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add a half teaspoon of vegetable oil to brown the mushrooms.
Step 3
Add a little bit of unsalted butter for gloss and richness and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Season with vegetable broth (optional) if desired.
